Moviegoers must be anxious to learn about the opening of both the films released today – Special 26 or Special Chabbis (26) and ABCD – Any Body Can Dance. Well, Special 26 box office collection and the box office business of ABCD have somewhat come up. The reports (so far) depict that Remo D’ Souza’s directed ABCD – Any Body Can Dance has opened far better than the star value film Special 26 at the box office in India.
ABCD, the film that has no star at all just Prabhu Deva and Ganesh Acharya along with the Dance India Dane contestants, appeared much stronger than Akshay Kumar starrer Special Chabbis across the country.
The reason for the slow opening behind Akshay’s film is obvious – it is not typical Akshay Kumar movie for which the audiences come to watch in theaters. Yes, it is not a madcap comedy, audiences like. Akshay’s comedy is what the Hindi moviegoers love the most. But this time around the actor appeared in a robbery heist drama.
India’s youngest generation gave thumbs up to dance movie ‘ABCD – Any Body Can Dance’ though there is no big name associated to the film.
On average, Remo’s ABCD opened to around 60% and Akshay Kumar’s Special 26 opened to nearly 30% all over India. ABCD’s another plus point is its being a 3D format that Indian audiences like the most.
It is often seen that post evening collections turn the box office results. Let’s wait for the collections after the day wraps up.
