The film was predicted to fetch business in the range of 3 to 4 crore and it has collected near to 4 crore. Begum Jaan’s 1st day business in India is 3.94 crore. The film’s opening was much slow, but it gained momentum in evening and nights shows.

Critics did not come into the movie’s favor, as it received below average to fair reviews. Thus now it all depends on word of mouth. If it goes into its favor, the opening weekend may bring astonishing business.

Since the movie’s budget is not higher, it has better chances to go well. Besides, Hollywood film ‘Fast and Furious’ is a big competitor for Begum Jaan, as the former is doing brilliant at the box office.
