David Dhawan’s entertainer Chashme Baddoor movie review is out to let you guys know the film’s worth and its box office business to come. Read on the review.

The trend of remakes is quite high these days in Bollywood cinema industry. Every other day, we have been witnessing the remakes of the classics or the south movies in Hindi cinema. Filmmakers seem more interested in making the movies on the remakes. It undoubtedly seems the brilliant formula to remake the old movies to churn out good business. But the fact remains that very rarely the remakes surpass the originals since the audiences always give distinctive marks to the originals though remakes too work better at the box office.

But there are instances when the remakes fall flat and flop very badly at the box office the current example being Sajid Khan’s Himmatwala, which turned out to be the biggest flop within few days’ time. David Dhawan’s Chashme Baddoor is the remake of the film bearing the same title which was released around three decades back. But Dhawan’s film tries to be quite different from the original though the concept is same. David’s flick is loud, more young, lively and trendy with loads of humor to tickle your funny bones.

Chashme-Baddoor-Film Still-ShowbizbitesThe film talks about three friends who fall for one girl and go on to woo her. But the girl falls for one guy among them. The other two then fasten the belts to try every bit to tarnish her relationship with the guy she loves.

Chashme Baddoor tells the story of three friends (Ali Zafar, Divyendu Sharma and Siddharth) who all are after one girl (Taapsee Pannu). They all try hard to impress her by wooing her thoroughly. She eventually starts falling for one guy. The remaining two friends then begin attempting the relationship apart.

The basic concept has been borrowed from Sai Paranjpye’s Chashme Baddoor only. Therefore David Dhawan’s movie walks on its own drawn lines and that is the beauty of the script. By watching the film, you automatically come to know that it’s a Dhawan’s entertainer since it reveals his shades utterly. The jokes and humor all show that the man behind is David Dhawan and that is the plus point of Dhawan that the viewers can easily single out his product and identify it with ease.

David Dhawan is known for his comedies and his best comedies. He can make the super hilarious movies and his career consists of comedies in particular. David tries fully to avoid any dull moment in the movie and he succeeds in it. The humor in the movie thoroughly entertains the viewer. It is a true paisa vasool film.

Script is really alluring and hardly has any flaws to be pointed out. Renuka Kunzru does a fine job with the screenplay. Direction by David Dhawan is superlative – he makes the viewer sits thoroughly by fixing the eyes on the screen. Cinematography by Sanjay F. Gupta is really pleasing and eye candy. Editing is fine. Dialogues attract the attention. Sajid-Wajid’s music is soul-enhancing.

Ali Zafar shows off his acting skills brilliantly. The actor can go miles in Bollywood and it is just the beginning. Siddharth is a class to watch.  Divyendu Sharma impresses with his acting prowess. Taapsee Pannu, the actress from south cinema, makes her Bollywood debut with this film and shows she can allure Hindi moviegoers as well. Rishi Kapoor in a new avatar looks great and does a fine job. Anupam Kher is first rate. Rest of the cast too goes well with the roles.

Final Verdict:

In a capsule, Chashme Baddoor is a well-made film with loads of entertaining stuff and interesting humor. It is a true comic caper in every sense of the word. A Must Watch.
