Heartless Opens to Much Lower Occupancy

By Goher Iqbal Punn, Film Critic & Entertainment Analyst, Showbiz Bites

heartless-still-showbizbites-001Heartless opening occupancy is simply much poor. The film, as was being expected and this writer had also predicted in Heartless box office prediction report that it would receive below average even poor opening occupancy in presence of Hasee Toh Phasee. The same even more worse has happened with the film. Adhyayan Suman’s comeback vehicle opened with very low occupancy to around 5% in Indian circuit. The film could grow provided that very strong word of mouth publicity happens that seems impossible by now.

Heartless also received negative reviews from the majority of critics. Adhyayan was looking for a hit from this movie. But it seems his dream would shatter, as the film has no scope to grow at the box office. Heartless opening occupancy has shown it all.

The film even could not grow on the opening weekend. The 1st weekend business is expected to be lower than the expectations. Let’s wait if some miracles happen. If they do, the business will again be in the bracket of expectations (those set by the investors not the critics). Apparently, nothing of this sort is going to happen at all.
