Romantic films have been the delicious treat for the Bollywood filmmakers and the viewers alike. The films on this subject have been the success formula for the moviemakers. But not all the time, these ilk of movies run at the box office and work well among the audiences. Since the beginning of the film industry till date, the romantic movies have been the forte of the Bollywood filmmakers. Even in today’s time, the filmmakers feel at ease in making investments in the films on romantic subjects.

Preity Zinta’s Ishk in Paris was also in talks and in news because Preity makes her production debut with this film. The actress, who has been away from the cinema screen since long, returns to the cinema world with her debut production that stars Preity Zinta and Rhehan Malleik in main leads.

The film is not novel as far as the story goes, but the screenplay nonetheless catches the pulse of the viewers. The direction is gripping. The film captured the limelight when Preity Zinta fetched him in a song.

The film talks about two strangers – Ishkq (Preity Zinta) and Aakash (Rhehan Malleik). Both bump into each other on a train from Rome to Paris. The plot does not seem to be novel since these kinds of stories we have grown up watching on screen. The screenplay by Preity Zinta and Prem Soni is gripping and makes the viewers enjoy the reel getting unfold on screen. Direction is first rate. Prem Soni does a fine job of direction. Cinematography by Manush Nandan is spongy and catchy. The locales of Europe allure the hearts. Music by Sajid-Wajid is electrifying and saccharine.

Preity Zinta does a wonderful job as an actress. She captures the hearts with her splendid performance. She looks stunning and gorgeous. Rhehan Malleik delivers the act brilliantly. Isabelle Adjani too enacts the part well. Chunkey Pandey in a cameo is fine as well.

Final Verdict:

In a capsule, Ishkq in Paris is catchy but if you are seeking a novelty, then you cannot find it in the plot. Watch it for good performances, direction and script.
