Kumar Taurani and Rajkumar Santoshi have given a successful entertainer ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani’ earlier and now the duo comes back with another entertainer ‘Phata Poster Nikhla Hero’. The movie made noise due to its title and genre of comedy by the time it was announced. The viewers were eagerly waiting for the release and now the film releases, let’s wait and see the response from the audiences. Phata Poster Nikhla Hero is a light-hearted comedy, which has potential to hit the audiences’ hearts. Since Rajukmar Santoshi is in the back, the viewers are sure to get a big treat of entertainment. The man is famed for making brilliant entertainers and has succeeded heavily in his past ventures.

You cannot expect any novelty in the plot of this film, as it carries nothing novel but a brilliant entertaining stuff and comedy to extract joys from. Just watch the movie by putting your mind aside. Sail with the waves of the movie and you would be benefited with loads of entertainment. Shahid Kapoor has revealed his comic side luminously in this flick. The pairing of Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D’Cruz looks really amazing and fresh. The humor in movie is what will make you laugh all the way. From the opening reel to the last sequence, you don’t get bored and this is what the movie is all about and the concern of the filmmaker.

Phata Poster Nikhla Hero tells the story of Vishwas Rao (Shahid Kapoor), who is an aspiring actor. He loves to make a sparkling career in Bollywood. A chance encounter between the two – Vishwas and Kajal (Ileana D’Cruz) puts him in crazy situations since he is dressed as a cop. This leads Vishwas’ life in maddening situations and all becomes upside down.

The humor in the film reminds you of the old Hindi comedies at times. The script, as mentioned earlier, is not novel at all, but the best thing is that it carries life to entertain you full. There are nonetheless few faults in the narrative like villain’s track and bad humor at times in the second half. Rajkumar Santoshi has done the adroit work of writing apart from directing this flick. His direction holds values since you get glued to the screen till the movie lasts. When Tips is in the back, you expect a good piece of music. Well, you are not disappointed at all since Pritam brings up soothing and electrifying music treat for you. Cinematography by Ravi Yadav is first-rate. Editing is fine. Choreography is really brilliant.

Shahid Kapoor has done a tremendously great job this time around. He shows he is the best in comedy as well. His comedy timing is superb. Ileana D’Cruz is fine to watch. Padmani Kohlapuri is in her elements. Saurab Shukla is brilliant as usual. Sanjay Mishra is fabulous. Rest of the cast is superlative as well.

Final Verdict:

On the whole, Phata Poster Nikhla Hero is a catchy entertainer that will work with the audiences.
