As expected and predicted by this writer, Phillauri has been on its way to success. Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Sharma have co-produced this horror comedy drama. The film collected 5.20 crores at domestic box office on its second day. This shows the growth from the first day. Well, the actress who is also the producer of the film, must be excited with the way the movie has started doing at ticket windows.

The majority of the business has been coming from the North market of India. The film is set in Phillauri, Punjab and carries the storyline focused on Punjab and relates to the people out there, this is the main reason of the growth of the business from that market. The flick has so far collected 9.22 crores in India.

Anshai Lal has directed this movie that tells the saga of Kanan (Suraj). He is persuaded by his friends and even by his family to wed with a tree to finish off the bad luck on him. The ancient tree spirit Shashi (Anushka Sharma) gets awakened and then the story goes on.

Phillauri has also done great in overseas market by raking around 2 crores business so far. The opening weekend is going to be impressive.
