PK Still-showbizbites-02PK Movie Review:

Aamir Khan’s formula or his logic to endow the viewers with one movie a year is without any single doubt is handsomely beneficial for him, his fans and the movie’s stakeholders. His every movie, that comes every year, works big time at the box office enticing the viewers thoroughly and making a whopping business that generates and breaks records. With PK, the expectations are same. Last year Aamir went for Christmas holidays with Dhoom 3 and this time again, he came up with Christmas holidays with PK that released today. Christmas holidays give giant chunks of business to his movies. It is simply obvious and crystal clear.

Rajkumar Hirani had made the story of the film under tight wraps from the media and the masses prior to release. This surely gave a positive plus to the film to raise the curiosity level among the moviegoers. When the movie carries Aamin main lead and the story is hidden, one becomes really curious to slip into the theater to see what is all about and what does it carry? The same is the case with PK that curiosity level is quite high among the masses because of the hidden story and the character of Aamir that surely makes one eager as to what he will deliver on screen?

PK was heavily promoted and the positive outcome is now bound to happen. Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani’s combo has returned back after giving a big success in the past titled 3 Idiots. The combo is surely out there this time around to confer the audiences with another giant success in the form of PK. The film is a comedy drama that carries a message as well.

PK (Aamir Khan) is an alien who lands on earth on the deserts of Rajasthan so as to study the human beings and life on earth. He witnesses a tough beginning while landing stark naked on the planet earth after his tracking remote, which helps him to send back the signals to his spaceship, is stolen on earth. He is on way to search the stolen remote. He now has to survive on earth on his own. He really finds it very hard to manage on earth as he does not know the language, how to interact with humans and all that. His good luck takes him to Bhairav Singh (Sanjay Dutt), who becomes his friend and then thoroughly helps him to spend life on earth. He then goes to Delhi where he stumbles upon a topsy-turvy life of a stranger in the city. He asks the questions to the people which hold meaning. Along with him is Jagat Janani (Anushka Sharma) who treads with PK throughout his journey.

Rajkumar Hirani is a brilliant storyteller, we all are well aware of the fact. The same he did with PK telling the story of an alien on earth in a manner on celluloid that one simply gets glued to the screen. Besides, this is ofcourse a novel idea ever seen in Hindi movies earlier. Alien’s subjects have been used previously in Bollywood movies, but the treatment which Rajkumar Hirani gave to PK is novel without any doubt. Script is simply brilliant, though at some places you find the goings on a bit slow. The entertainment quotient is heart-hitting and capturing. This is what audiences want. Abhijat Joshi and Rajkumar Hirani deserve credit for luminous screenplay. Editing is fine. Cinematography is top notch. Music is catchy and ear-pleasing. Tharki Chokro and Love is Waste of Time are the picks of the lot.

Aamir Khan excels in his character. The genius inside this man always comes up whenever he oozes out with any new project. As an alien, he did a mastery job entertaining his viewers thoroughly. It is undoubtedly the most challenging character of his career that he did with super conviction. Anushka Sharma impresses with her part. Sanjay Dutt is impressive. Sushant Singh Rajput, as a cameo, goes fine with his role. Rest of the cast too fills the bill aptly.

Final Verdict:

On the whole, PK is the most entertaining movie of the year that is bound to break and make records. With massive screen count of more than 5800 across the globe, it is geared up to generate whopping business domestically and internationally. Highly Recommended!
