Well, this had to happen, as the movie has to wind up the business. This does not mean that audiences’ interest has lost or audiences are now fed up with the film. Rather the fact remains that the business is on way to wind up now. The movie collected 0.69 crore (69 lakhs) on its 42nd day. Total Viswaroopam 42 day box office collections are now 226.05 crore nett in domestic market.

Although the business has now begun dropping, but we are hopeful for another big landmark for the film i.e. 250 crore in domestic market. Let’s wait and see if it does. If it doesn’t, no problem, it has already done wonders in the film’s business.

The sequel to Viswaroopam has already been announced by the veteran star Kamal Haasan. Viswaroopam 2 will hit the screens by the end of 2013, as per the actor in his interviews in the media. The film is expected to hit the box office just as the first franchise did and has been doing.

Kamal Haasan will be enacting the leading hero in sequel and besides being the hero, he will be the co-producer, director and writer for the film as well.
