Zanjeer Box Office Collections & Regular Updates

By Goher Iqbal Punn, Film Critic & Entertainment Analyst, Showbiz Bites

zanjeer-film-still-showbizbitesZanjeer box office collections, well, are not great on the 1st day. The film opened to below average occupancy in India. The movie received just 20 to 25% occupancy in multiplexes and less in single screens. It is really disappointing result which was not being expected by anyone. Even the investors were thinking of some great record-breaking business. But what happened to the audiences altogether is really weird.

The rival movie Shuddh Desi Romance instead made bigger waves by getting 30 to 35% occupancy in multiplexes and got around 20 to 25 % in single screens. Although, it is also not great business, but in comparison with Zanjeer, it is better. Zanjeer box office collections so far seem not to be heart-hitting.

The first day or Zanjeer 1st Friday box office collections came very poor. The film could not allure the moviegoers at all. Even the presence of the big stars like Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra too could not manage to bring the audiences. Ram Charan, south’s big star, also could not get the viewers. Being a remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s 1937’s iconic film, it could not generate any oomph. Well, the business of first day is very poor.
