ABCD – Any Body Can Dance is a movie that has been made on dance and dance. The film has emotions and drama as well to allure the cinegoers. Remo D’ Souza, though is famous for his choreography in movies, is also known for being the judge on numerous dance reality shows. Since there is a trend of dance reality shows in India and abroad, the masses are crazy for dancing and this is why a film has been attempted by the ace dance director. Remo succeeded in getting the back of the like of UTV to produce the movie.

Dance India Dance’s contestants also take part in the film. India’s most famous and ace choreographer and film director Prabhu Deva and Bollywood’s famed dancer Ganesh Acharya play the pivotal roles in the flick.

prabhu-ganesh-abcd-showbizbitesOn Hindi cinema, hardly any movies are attempted on pure dance subjects. In the past, we have seen few likes Disco Dancer, Dance Dance and Nache Mayuri. ABCD – ANY BODY CAN DANCE brings in the new light and breeze on Hindi celluloid encashing the ongoing and well liked trend of dance. The film can be a leader to give ways to others to come and make movies on the subjects like this which are barely touched.

Where the film has plus points, it also carries few hiccups but that is the part of the cinema game. Remo’s ABCD – ANY BODY CAN DANCE is a 3D movie that is also an attraction for the Hindi moviegoers.

ABCD – ANY BODY CAN DANCE talks about Vishnu (Prabhu Deva) who is a passionate dancer. Dance is his life and all for him. When Vishnu is thrown out of the dance academy and when nothing happens with his business partner (Kay Kay Menon) later, he gets heartbroken and sad. He makes up his mind to leave Mumbai, the city of dreams. He decides to give up dance. But a night prior to his departure, he sees a group of dancers preparing for the forthcoming dance competition. He makes decision to help them and prepare them getting them under his guidance.

abcd-still01-showbizbitesRemo excels in his direction. He skillfully gets the viewers glued to the screens. Writing portion though has a bit of flaws but seems accurate. Remo D’ Souza is the man behind the story of the film. Tushar Hiranandani writes a good script. Sachin-Jigar’s music is ear-pleasing. Editing is fine. Choreography is okay as well. Remo’s choreography is simply awesome.

Prabhu Deva impresses with his dancing skills, as he is a big dancer, also allures with his acting prowess. Ganesh Acharya is fantastic. Kay Kay Menon is a treat to watch. Rest of the cast too impresses.

Final Verdict:

ABCD – ANY BODY CAN DANCE is a good attempt which should be applauded and appreciated. With a good script at the back, great eye-popping dances and nice execution, the film is sure to hit the hearts.
