Piku 1st weekend box office collections – well, the film showed marvelous growth on its opening weekend by churning out the business even beyond the expectations. The film has been running smartly and fabulously at the domestic as well as overseas market. This is simply amazing and the movie surely needs all this, as it is a brilliantly made simple yet heart-warming flick. Shoojit Sircar’s Piku got the big boost on 2nd day and then 3rd day respectively and landed at the mammoth handsome collections by the wrapping up of opening weekend business.
Piku 1st weekend box office collections in domestic market are around 25.22 crore, which is not only amazingly big, but also superb in every sense of the word. The movie was expected to earn around 15 crore or something, which was also a nice figure, but it went on earning beyond the expectations. This shows how much impressed the people are with this film?
Piku also received a big start at the overseas market being the highest opening grosser in international market. It has also topped the 1st weekend of the year. Piku earned 12.23 crore in overseas circuit.
The best performance was seen in America, Canada and Middle East. In Singapore, the reports are that the film ran to packed houses. Deepika Padukone’s Piku has surpassed the overseas business of other releases of this year such as Akshay’s Gabbar is Back, Arjun Rampal’s Roy and Akshay’s Baby.
