By Goher Iqbal Punn, Film Critic & Entertainment Analyst, Showbiz Bites

aashiqui2-cast-showbizbitesAashiqui 2 opening is decent in India. As per the early estimates, Aashiqui 2 opened to good response in India. On its first day in domestic box office market, the movie received good opening all over India. The circuits such as Indore, Punjab, UP, Jaipur, CI and Rajasthan showed exceptional results at the box office in morning shows. Since the box office collections are being waited for the afternoon and evening shows, there are expectations of good pick up as well.

But the reports say that the movie could not allure the audiences residing in the prominent urban cities of India such as Mumbai, Bangalore and some parts of Delhi. Well, the vivid reason behind the people’s not turning out to watch the film in urban cities is the release of Iron Man 3, which too found good occupancy in India.

Although the film is a non-starrer, Aashiqui 2 received pretty good occupancy in domestic box office on its first day as per the early report. The film received mixed reviews by film critics. Mohit Suri has directed the film whereas it stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, who is the daughter of Shakti Kapoor.
