PK opening occupancy – well, as expected Aamir Khan’s PK has done the brilliance. The opening shows (morning shows) have done what was being expected from them across India. The audiences were disappointed massively since there had been not a good release for last few weeks. The last few weeks showed lull performance at the box office and this was due to the mundane releases. Aamir Khan’s films always await heavily as he gives the audiences one movie a year and that always brings the best rather more than best.
PK too is going to shows something of this kind of result. PK released on a working day, but the edge it has is Christmas holidays – the film will gather big momentum in these days and also tomorrow (Saturday) day after tomorrow (Sunday) are expected to bring packed houses.
PK opening occupancy, as per the early estimates and reports, is around 70 percent across the country, which means it is simply excellent as far as the morning shows are concerned and the working day factor is concerned. People came out in abundance to watch the film even today is their work day in offices. This is called Aamir Khan’s star power.
From the giant advance booking of PK it was clear that the film is set to create the massive records and the same is going to happen from now onwards. The film is expected to maintain a good pace rather brilliant pick up in afternoon and late evening shows plus night shows. If this happens, PK will then generate big or record-breaking 1st day collections.
Mumbai showed exceptional business in morning shows than other parts of India. On second, it is Delhi circuit despite the heavy cold, viewers came in plenty.
