Current Bollywood scenario is filled with the movies being made with the names who sell at the box office. In this scenario, making a movie with the unknown names or with the kid as a main lead is not an easy task to do, but the brave man Amole Gupte does it with gusto and aplomb. The film is about the slum boy who does a very small job at a tea stall to serve the customers with the cups of tea, but dreams high. It is an emotional story of a very poor little boy – it is a saga of being nothing to something in life.
Gupte’s Hawaa Hawaai is the about the ordinary and poor people who walk around us and we even do not dare to look at them because they are poor rather very poor. The film gives us the message to treat the poor as human and give them equal importance since they too deserve being human like all of us. The film tells the poor too have dreams of being big and those who think only rich can achieve higher places in life – they are wrong, as the poor too can achieve their big dreams and their set goals in life.
Hawaa Hawaai is the story of the will power of a cute poor little boy, whose farmer father passes away, who has to work at a tea stall to run his family. Rajo (Partho Gupte) dreams of becoming a champion of the sports on wheels – rollerblading. He bumps into Lukcy (Saqib Saleem), a skating-coach who trains the kids in this sport. Raju and his five friends then get on board to fulfill their dreams of becoming the champion in this sport.
Story by Amole Gupte is really heart-warming, touching and emotional. It is well-penned and touches the hearts thoroughly. Although there are flaws in the script, but when the overall impact is appaludable you simply ignore those little flaws. Direction by Amole is splendid. Editing is fine. Cinematography is fantastic. Music goes well with ears.
Partho Gupte is the central character of the movie and he loots the hearts and souls with his mind blowing impressive performance. Saqib Saleem is wonderful. Rest of the cast delivers the acts brilliantly also.
Final Verdict:
On the whole, Hawaa Hawaai is an emotional and heart-hitting sensitive story of a poor little boy’s dream to make it big in life. MUST-WATCH.
