Yeh Hai Bakrapur hits the screens today. Well, this Friday brings no high profile movies at all. Thus, the audiences have to suffer if they are looking for real entertainment. Let’s check out if Yeh Hai Bakrapur brings up any entertainment quotient for the viewers or not. The movie is a socio-political satire that talks about the issue of rural India.
The film talks about Qureshi family that struggles a lot to spend life. They are under debts and then the time approaches, when they make a hard decision of selling off their loved goat ‘Shahrukh’. This goat means a lot to the little boy of this family who turns utterly sad when this decision is made. Shahrukh is his best buddy and a constant companion. The heartbroken little boy takes the help pf Jaffer (Anushman Jha) who gives him a solution that changes everything in Queshi family. The goat becomes an overnight sensation.
Janaki Vishwanathan’s story is unique and alluring. It catches the viewer’s attention from the word ‘go’. Script is fabulous apart from few flaws which are ignorable. Direction by Janaki Vishwanathan is first-rate. Editing carries many flaws – there are few of the sequences, which needed to be edited with care. Cinematography is simply awesome. Music is average.
Abushman Jha is the scene stealer in this show. Shameem Khan is first-rate. Asif Basra is fine. Rest of the cast too fits the bill.
Final Verdict:
On the whole, Yeh Hai Bakrapaur is a delicious treat that is entertaining and touches your heart.
